Development & Pilot Validation

Controlled growth systems for hands-on learning.

LumaTerra Systems Limited is developing compact plant-growth systems and structured pilot programs for STEM, science and urban-agriculture learning in Hong Kong.

PL / 01Dual zone concept

01 / Current focus

One focused program, built to be useful.

Our first commercial focus is the Plant Lab Pilot Program: one clearly defined learning offer, not a catalogue of unrelated products.

We are bringing product definition, engineering preparation, supplier engagement and customer validation together around a practical starting point for Hong Kong learning providers.

Current stage The system and program are under development; there is no completed commercial product, and no customer deployment has yet been completed.

02 / Plant Lab Pilot Program

A structured path from equipment to learning outcome.

The planned package combines a compact station with a defined activity, practical onboarding and a consistent record of the project.

  1. 01

    Plant Lab Pilot Station

Planned use of a dual-zone controlled-growth learning station at a qualified teaching site.

  2. 02

    Structured basil activity

One education-focused, descriptive comparison of daily light exposure across two zones.

  3. 03

    Teacher onboarding

Orientation for trained teaching staff on the activity sequence, boundaries and records.

  4. 04

    Observation toolkit

Templates for observations, data records and images, brought together in a project report.

  5. 05

    Local pilot support

Limited Hong Kong support within the scope agreed for a founding pilot engagement.

The program and equipment specifications remain subject to engineering and customer validation. The activity is intended for education and descriptive comparison; it does not claim laboratory-grade accuracy, published scientific validation or a proven crop recipe.

03 / Dual-zone concept

Two conditions. One shared learning process.

The concept separates two plant trays and lighting schedules so learners can observe and document a controlled comparison.

  • Independently scheduled lighting
  • Separated plant trays
  • Local data recording
  • Education-focused safety boundaries

This is a development schematic, not a final engineering drawing. It does not represent complete PFAL climate control.

04 / Intended users

Designed for teams already equipped to teach.

01

STEM & science programs

Providers of paid extracurricular learning with fixed teaching premises and trained staff.

02

Urban-agriculture learning

Providers seeking a structured, observable plant-growth activity for their learners.

03

Education & design partners

Qualified organisations able to contribute relevant delivery or learning-design capability.

05 / Development approach

Evidence before expansion.

Each stage is intended to narrow assumptions before the next commitment is made.

  1. 01

    Product definition

Define the learning activity, system requirements, user boundaries and pilot scope.

    Current
  2. 02

    Engineering core

Develop and integrate the essential station hardware, controls and safety provisions.

  3. 03

    Internal validation

Test system behaviour and the activity workflow before any customer-facing pilot.

  4. 04

    Founding pilot

Validate delivery with a suitable Hong Kong provider under a clearly bounded pilot plan.

06 / Company

Defined in Hong Kong. Developed with the right specialists.

LumaTerra Systems Limited is a Hong Kong-based controlled-environment plant technology company.

Hong Kong is the base for company governance, commercial development, customer engagement, product definition and partner coordination. Specialist suppliers may support component sourcing and prototyping as the system moves through engineering preparation.
